Auction Rules & Information

Bidding: Each chair has a minimum opening bid of $175. Bids must increase in minimum increments of $25. By placing a bid, you are agreeing to the auction terms outlined below.

Auction Closing & Extended Bidding: The auction is scheduled to close at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Extended bidding is enabled to provide all bidders with a fair opportunity to respond to bids placed near the closing time. If a bid is received during the final minutes of an item's auction, the closing time for that item will automatically be extended in accordance with the auction platform's extended bidding settings. Bidding will continue until no additional bids are received during the extension period. The highest eligible bid when bidding officially closes will be the winning bid.

In-Person Viewing & Bidding: All six chairs will be on display at the Downtown Bracebridge Autumn Art Market on Saturday, September 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visitors are welcome to view the chairs in person and place their bids online during the event.

Winning Bidders: The highest eligible bid when bidding officially closes will be considered the winning bid. Winning bidders will be contacted by the Downtown Bracebridge BIA following the auction.

Payment: Payment will be made directly to the Downtown Bracebridge BIA by cash, cheque or credit card. The BIA will contact each winning bidder following the auction and provide payment instructions, including a secure link for online credit card payment. Payment must be received within 10 business days of the auction closing. If payment is not received within this timeframe, the chair may be offered to the next highest bidder.

Pickup: The Downtown Bracebridge BIA will hold all chairs following the auction and work directly with winning bidders to arrange pickup. Chairs are expected to be picked up within 14 days of payment being received. Shipping is not available, and winning bidders are responsible for arranging pickup of their chair in Downtown Bracebridge. If you require additional time or need to make alternate pickup arrangements, please contact the BIA directly.

Condition of Chairs: All chairs are sold as-is. Each chair is handcrafted and hand-painted, and variations or imperfections are part of the unique character of these one-of-a-kind pieces.

Proceeds: Net proceeds from the auction will be donated to Manna Food Bank in Bracebridge.

Questions: Questions regarding the auction, bidding, payment or chair pickup can be directed to the Downtown Bracebridge BIA.
